Physical Education summer work
Overview
Welcome to Physical Education. In preparation for starting your course in September, we would like you to complete the summer work detailed below.
The work
As part of your course, you will also be invited to an induction day where you will get to meet the other students on your course. This session will incorporate lots of icebreaker games and some light exercises (bring kit). In addition, we will be practically applying the summer work through a number of fun tasks.
Component 1
Your first task will be to complete the challenges using the PE summer work digital resource available below. You will be required to:
- Improve your knowledge about musculoskeletal anatomy and the types of joints in the body.
- Develop your understanding of movement analysis and the key terminology used to describe a player's movement.
- Keep up to date with the big issues in the world of sports.
Component 2
Please complete the sports history timeline worksheet available for downloading below.
You will also need to bring a signed consent form when you attend your first lesson or induction. This is also available below.
