Below is a short research task to help prepare you for the start of your course.
Recording
Developing your working knowledge of production techniques is an essential part of the course. You will complete two pieces of coursework in Year 12. One of them will be a multi-track recording. Please begin to research microphone types (dynamic, condenser) and find out the benefits of each. In addition to this, please do some background reading with regard to the polar patterns of microphones. This foundational knowledge will help you during the course. You may wish to use a range of sources.
