The summer project will provide an excellent opportunity to explore the diverse visual world around you! We would like you to focus on one of the two themes outlined below.
The project should largely be contained within an A5 sketchbook (which we will provide during the summer ‘Welcome to Hills’ event) and will lead into the Autumn term art workshops. Familiarise yourself with the two themes and complete the task with plenty of personal and imaginative ideas!
Please choose ONE of the following themes and follow the task outlined in the workbook available below.
Theme 1: Surfaces and textures
These could be defined as the visual and the tactile quality of a surface; as the outermost layer; the exterior boundary; the face of something; the feel of something; the treatment of a surface (layering/collage) grids; the characteristics of surface and texture could be interwoven.
