Hills Road musicians to take to the Junction stage for Red Cross fundraiser

Zephyrus consists of Hills Road students Alex James, Oakes Summerfield, Julian McNiff, Ben Hales and Andrew Percival. The band began life at school before going on to busk around the city and perform at well-known local venues and events including Cambridge Junction, Portland Arms and Strawberry Fair.

There will be plenty more Hills Road talent on stage throughout the evening. 

Support band Mirada includes Manuela Martinon-Rodriguez, Tristan, Aran Peavoy, Theo Hennessey and Tristan Davis, while a number of other Hills Road students will be taking part. These include Milo Gracey on DJ duties, Felix Lambeaux performing French rap and Oliver Preston as a featured performer. Mayuri Sarkar and Lyra Maddocks will provide backing vocals, with David Bell joining on trombone.

The final show has been organised to raise funds and awareness for the work of the Red Cross amid humanitarian crises around the world.

Speaking about their decision to reunite, Zephyrus said they wanted to “help out the Red Cross with their incredible efforts across the world”, adding that they hope music and a shared effort can make a positive contribution.

The show takes place in J1 at Cambridge Junction on Monday 5 October 2026, with doors opening at 6pm.
