The Foundation funds projects across the UK that promote good health, with a particular focus on helping schools and colleges provide equipment for physical activity. The latest grant has enabled Hills Road to invest in a wide range of equipment, including basketballs, footballs, tennis balls and netball post covers, helping ensure students have the resources they need to enjoy sport safely and confidently.
Sport at Hills Road is designed to be inclusive, offering something for every level of interest and ability. Students can pursue competitive sport through teams in disciplines including badminton, basketball, cheer, cricket, football, hockey, netball, rowing, rugby, table tennis, tennis and volleyball.
For those who prefer a more relaxed approach, enrichment sport provides a sociable, non-competitive way to stay active, make friends and try something new. Options include social badminton, social basketball, social table tennis, running club, five-a-side football and social volleyball.
The grant will help ensure that sport remains accessible, enjoyable and high quality for all Hills Road students, from aspiring competitors to those simply looking to enjoy being active with friends.
