Hills Road is a friendly, caring and supportive College community committed to offering the best opportunities possible for its students.
At Hills Road, we seek to offer all our students an unforgettable sixth-form education characterised by academic excellence, outstanding learning experiences and extensive enrichment opportunities.
High expectations combined with the dedicated support of specialist tutors, teachers and careers advisers ensure that students, whatever their individual needs, are able to develop self-confidence, fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations. Our students enjoy a learning environment that is designed to engage, inspire and challenge them and to prepare them exceptionally well for the next stage of their lives.
We are incredibly proud of our students’ many achievements, including their consistently outstanding examination results.
The most important thing about these exceptional results is that they give our students the best possible choice of career or university degree course; so, they leave us ready to assume their responsibilities as young adults and ready to take advantage of further exciting opportunities.

The College's continued success is due to the commitment of our experienced and knowledgeable staff, currently around 250, employed in a wide range of teaching and support roles. Hills has a friendly and supportive community which enables staff to deliver outstanding opportunities for the students.
Following the College's Ofsted inspection in February 2022, Hills Road is once again rated as 'Outstanding' in all key judgements, recognising the consistently high quality and standards achieved by the whole College community. Since its last inspection just over 15 years ago, Hills Road has worked tirelessly to maintain excellence as standard and to deliver an exceptional sixth form experience.
Hills Road Sixth Form College is proud to be a founding member of The Maple Group. The Maple Group is a partnership of leading sixth form colleges in England, sharing a common interest in maintaining and promoting outstanding teaching and learning for young people.
