Our Open Events for Year 10 students looking to apply for entry in September 2026 will take place on Saturday 5 and Monday 7 July 2025.
Our Open Events are the best way to learn more about the 36 A levels we offer. Exploring the subjects that interest you will not only help you to make decisions about your future, but it will also help you to understand more about life at Hills and the exciting opportunities ahead of you!

We have a whole host of different activities taking place throughout the college during our Open Events. From live music, theatre performances, our Y13 photography and art exhibitions and the opportunity to take a look inside our fantastic library and to meet with our Admissions team. The Future Ready Programme is a core part of Year 12. Find out how it is designed to help you develop personally and socially and to equip you with valuable life skills to support you after A levels, whatever you decide to do.
Led by our Progress & Support tutors, you can find out about the support services available at the College and how the Extended Project and Enrichment form part of your sixth-form experience.
EPQ is a core part of the Year 12 programme. Come and learn more about the Project, how it is structured and how you can determine the outcome: an artefact, dissertation, production or event.
Students will be on hand to talk to you about their projects and their experience of the EP being central to their study programme.
Enrichment is a core part of the Year 12 programme and includes a plethora of activities from pottery to movies, the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award to Robotics. We have over 70 activities to choose from, including music groups and ensembles, the Christmas musical and dance shows to College sports teams.

The Bursary Fund is available to students who may need financial support to enable them to study at the College. Any young person can apply for the Bursary, providing they satisfy the eligibility criteria detailed on this page, which relate to household income. Come and talk to our friendly staff about how to access support.
Bring your own device (BYOD): To enhance your access to digital learning, all students are required to bring a digital device to College to support their lessons and independent learning time. Speak to one of our tutors to find out more.
With over 25 sports supported at the College, including competitive teams covering sports such as badminton, basketball, cheer, cricket, football, netball, rowing, rugby, volleyball, plus many more.
You can also take part in sports as part of your Enrichment. Come and meet us in the Sports & Tennis Centre, where our College sports staff will talk to you about the opportunities, and student team captains will be available to share some of their experiences!
The number of clubs and societies at the College is almost endless! You will find over 100 clubs, societies and teams to spark your imagination. You don’t have to be studying the subject to take part.
Meet Medsoc, Vetsoc, the Law Society and subject-focussed societies that support career progression. If you have an interest, no matter how niche, you are likely to find fellow students with similar passions. Come and speak to our students to see how being part of a club or society makes their College experience unique!
The Study Skills team provide a range of support, including assistance for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Come and meet the team to learn more about the support available such as group workshops on organisation, time management, exam anxiety and revision. Learning Mentors meet one-to-one with students to help them find helpful study strategies, set individual targets and support them to progress in challenging areas.
Study Skills is on the ground floor of the Study Centre, in a low-sensory space if you need a quiet break.
