Future Ready Programme

The Future Ready Programme

Underpinning your educational journey at Hills is our Future Ready Programme which will help you to develop personally and socially and will equip you with valuable life skills to support you after A levels, whatever you decide to do.

Henna enrichment has been such a great opportunity to relax and do something creative outside of my subjects.

Kira

Volleyball is super good for making friends, staying active and to relax for a while. Playing college sports can leave you with great memories!

Demi

Working on The Adam's Family theatre production was a brilliant experience for actors and non-actors! There was a lovely sense of community, and who doesn't want to feel important?

Programme modules

Being equipped for the workplace, an apprenticeship, university or any other destination you might be considering takes work, just like A levels. Completing the Future Ready Programme will help you to be prepared with the skill set for whatever comes next.

The Year 12 Programme consists of five modules, covering topics such as Health and Wellbeing, Community, plus the Extended Project Qualification and Enrichment activities.

Learning occurs through a combination of student input, tutor guidance and external experts and speakers. You will be encouraged to find your own voice while developing your sense of social and moral responsibility as part of HIlls and the wider community. You will also be provided with extensive support with your onward progression plan.

Health and wellbeing sessions aim to reduce the stigma around health and wellbeing challenges and ensure that you know whom you can turn to for the right support. Topics will include how to look after your mental, physical, and sexual health; understanding healthy relationships and consent, and drug/alcohol awareness.
