There is no better way to start your learning journey with the College than to attend Welcome to Hills. Students attend for one day at the beginning of July.
For one day, you will take part in three A level taster sessions and a Future Ready session, meet teachers, tutors and support staff, and explore the campus. You will also meet other students who are joining the College in September.
Students who are holding an offer with the College will have received emails about their Welcome day. Please refer to the emails to also pre-order your food. If you have any questions, please email Admissions.
You cannot leave the campus during Welcome to Hills, so you must pre-order your food or tell us you are bringing a packed lunch.
IMPORTANT: For pre-ordered food, you will receive a confirmation email from Ticketsource with QR codes for your items; you must bring this with you on the day. If your parent or legal carer pre-orders food for you, they must forward the email with the QR codes to you before the event. You will not be able to collect any food items without a QR code.
If you are in receipt of Free School Meals at your current school, we will provide you with lunch at no cost, but we still need to know your choices ahead of time using the Pre-Order Food or Packed Lunch Form.
There will be many options around the campus for eating lunch with friends, including picnic tables.
Below are the answers to some of the main questions students have about Welcome to Hills.
Welcome to Hills starts at 9:00am, but this is when all students must be settled in their classrooms. We would ask you to aim to be on campus by 8:55am at the latest, but you are welcome to arrive anytime from 8:30 am. The day finishes at 3:20 pm, and the campus closes at 3:30 pm.
