Inspiring future players

Whilst celebrating the successes of our most recent Women's Rugby alumnae, Coach Adrian Medd is ushering in a new generation of Years 12 and 13 students into the well-regarded team.

All are welcome, no matter their experience. Some of the College's most successful players to date were brand new to the sport when they first joined Women's Rugby at Hills.

After an incredible season, the College was sad to say goodbye to many wonderful players as the 2023-24 cohort of Y13s moved on.

The College always enjoys hearing success stories from our alumni - whether on or off the pitch. Coach Medd believes that these also prove inspiring to the newer generation...

Celebrating achievements

To this end, Coach Medd is determined to keep celebrating the hard work and commitment of team members. Speaking to the Cambridge Independent, he said:

[Our] talented players in college... help the development of the less experienced and complete beginners who join our squad every year.

Adrian continued: "For me, the main satisfaction arises from knowing that so many girls over the years have developed a passion for the game, which they have gone on to enjoy at university and in clubs where they meet and make friends for life.

"Their achievements on the rugby field are a bonus and an inspiration to the new girls who come into the college each year."
