Hills Road volleyball squad has a new sponsor, Ingleton Wood

Sponsored by Ingleton Wood, a multi-disciplinary consultancy in the property and planning sectors, Hills Road Sixth Form College is delighted with the partnership.

The College’s relationship with Ingleton Wood also include the provision of placements and opportunities for students to embark on degree apprenticeships with the company.

The recent achievements of the volleyball squads are down to their ability and response to the guidance of their coach Frances Balaam who ensures that the attributes mentioned by Anni dictate how they approach fixtures and tournaments.

Volleyball’s biggest and most notable performances were at the Association of Colleges National Knockout Cup in Wolverhampton. Achieving Men’s and Mixed team gold and the Women’s team a Silver.

The Women's team gained another Silver medal at the Association of Colleges National Championships at Nottingham University last month where they were joined by their fellow students to be part of the biggest cohort of 63, from one single college to represent the East region in 2023.

The East of England team finished in 3rd place overall (out of 10 regions), the highest achievement in ten years. Hills sports students are on track to regain the coveted ‘Clifford Dixon’ trophy for the 7th year running by amassing the greatest number of points for competitions in the East Region.
