The College employs a group of highly qualified music teachers to provide tuition for students.
The College offers tuition for piano, flute, clarinet, oboe, violin, viola, voice, guitar, mandolin, mandola, and tenor banjo. Unfortunately, brass and percussion tuition are not available. The 30 x half hour lessons per academic year are arranged on an individual basis and take place during study periods, before or after the College day, or during the lunch hour.
Please ensure you have read the information below before you sign up for music tuition. The form must be completed by the student's parent or legal carer and submitted by the booking deadline of 12 Midday on Monday 2 September 2024.
As the College has to contract its instrumental teachers for the whole academic year, it is necessary to request payment for the full amount of £679.50 or the first instalment of £300.00 by the booking deadline.
We use PayPal as our payment processor. Please use a debit or credit card or to make the full payment via PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to make a payment, you can checkout as a guest. Payment is required by 12 Midday on Monday 2 September 2024.
Please note that this is a contract for the whole academic year and no refunds can be given other than in exceptional circumstances.
Your contract will become binding on payment of the full amount (£679.50) or the deposit (£300.00) for one year of music tuition by 12 Noon on Monday 2 September. If payment is not received by the due date, we will not be able to arrange the tuition. If you decide not to enrol at Hills Road, then any payment for music tuition will be refunded in full.
At this early stage, we cannot promise that the lessons will take place; this will depend on the interest shown by students, and your payment will be refunded if tuition cannot be arranged.
The Instrumental or Singing Tuition Form must be completed by the student’s parent or legal carer. The
online form requires the student’s College Applicant ID, which was included in the music tuition email.
If your financial circumstances make payment difficult, you may be eligible for the Bursary. Please use the button below to find out more about the Bursary Fund.
Any questions should be sent by email to Toby Heath, Music Department Administrator.
