The 2026 Student Council election process is now underway at Hills Road Sixth Form College, offering Year 12 students the opportunity to stand for election and contribute to shaping college life.

Students across Hills Road Sixth Form College are able to nominate candidates starting today, Monday 2 February, until the nomination deadline of 4pm on Monday 23 February.
The Student Council at Hills Road works closely with staff and senior leaders, organising events, sharing student feedback, and contributing to decisions that affect the college community.
Successful candidates therefore have the opportunity to play an active role in shaping college life and representing the wider student body.
Students considering standing for the Council are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the process and key responsibilities they might have, by speaking to current Council members, attending the 10 February Q&A session and/or by reviewing details on the Student Council webpage.
Students who wish to join the Student Council need to be nominated and then elected by fellow students. They must also inform their parent or carer and their tutor before submitting a nomination.
