Hills Road Sixth Form College is delighted to have successfully renewed its Rainbow Flag Award, recognising the college's continued commitment to creating an inclusive, welcoming and supportive environment for LGBTQ+ students and staff.
Following a successful audit visit, the Rainbow Flag Award team have confirmed that Hills Road has once again met the standards required to retain the nationally recognised award.
The Rainbow Flag Award is a national quality assurance framework for schools and colleges, supporting organisations to embed positive LGBTQ+ inclusion throughout college life. The award recognises a whole-college approach to inclusion, from leadership and policies to teaching, student voice and community engagement.
The renewed accreditation reflects the ongoing work taking place across the college to champion equality, celebrate diversity and ensure every member of the community feels valued and able to thrive.
The college will shortly receive its renewed certificate, with the updated Rainbow Flag Award badge now available for use across Hills Road's communications.
