Introduction to Philosophy

The Introduction to Philosophy course is designed for anyone interested in philosophy and the big questions that shape how people think, live and make sense of the world.  No prior philosophical knowledge is assumed.  

About the course

The Introduction to Philosophy course gives students a clear way of thinking about major philosophical ideas and debates, such as what a meaningful life looks like and what makes a good person.

Students on the Introduction to Philosophy course will be introduced to core areas of philosophy.  The first part of the course focuses on ethics, values and politics and examines questions such as the nature of goodness, ethics and AI, and the nature of justice.  The second part of the course focuses on metaphysics and epistemology and covers questions such as how we know what we know and the nature of consciousness.

Payment is made in full at the time of booking.

If you are booking a Level 3 or 4 Counselling course, you will be able to pay for this using a Direct Debit, which you will set up before the course starts in September. Please check the relevant course pages for details.
