Our Darkroom Printing Summer School one-day workshop will give you the knowledge and skills necessary to print your own photographs from any negative! Students must bring their own black and white negatives already processed and ready to print.
Enrol now for the available days
During the Darkroom Photography Workshop, you will have the opportunity to use the College’s fantastic facilities, including a purpose-built darkroom, to learn the basics of printing black and white photographs from your very own negatives.
This Darkroom Photography Workshop is aimed at complete beginners, so you don’t need any prior darkroom experience to take part in this course.
You will learn each process necessary to make your negatives come to life, from test strips to final prints. Along the way, you’ll use a variety of techniques, including ‘dodging’ and ‘burning’ to enhance your prints. You’ll also learn how to alter the contrast of your print by using filtration.
To book a course, you will need to register online by clicking on the day you would like to attend. Please see the course information below the heading ‘Enrol now for the available days’.
