Portraiture Course

Portraiture can feel intimidating, but on this course you will learn to break the human face down into logical steps so that creating a portrait becomes an achievable and deeply rewarding skill. Suitable for beginners and more experienced artists.

    About the course

This 8-week Portraiture course is designed to take you from the foundational geometry of the head to creating expressive, finished painted portraits. Whether you are a beginner looking to understand proportions or an intermediate artist aiming to bring more life and colour to your work, this course offers structured, step-by-step guidance.

This course will provide you with personalised feedback, live demonstrations and an encouraging studio environment. You will leave the course with a portfolio of sketches, a deeper understanding of human anatomy and a finished painted piece to feel proud of.
