Electric Guitar for Beginners

Learn to play the electric guitar in a fun, relaxed and hands-on way. This course is aimed at complete beginners and focuses on playing music from the very first session — no prior experience and no music reading required.

About the course

During the course you will learn essential chords, riffs, rhythm playing, basic lead techniques, and how to play along with songs, while building confidence with the instrument. We’ll also touch on guitar sound and gear, including amps and effects pedals, to give you an introduction to creating great electric guitar tones.

Perfect for anyone who has always wanted to pick up the guitar and start playing.

This course will include step‑by‑step guidance that breaks everything down into manageable, achievable stages, so you can make steady progress with the electric guitar at your own pace. Sessions are practical and interactive, with plenty of time to try things out, ask questions, and get individual support. Whether you’re looking for a new hobby, a creative outlet, or a way to unwind, this course offers a welcoming space to enjoy making music and connect with other learners.
