Salary: From £32,177 to £49,725 FTE, depending on qualifications and experience

Contract: Fixed term for one academic year; part-time (40%)

We are looking for a qualified, passionate and innovative teacher of Media and/or Film Studies to join our highly successful and experienced English Media and Film department for the academic year starting in August 2025. The department offers three English A level courses: English Literature, English Language, and Combined English Literature and Language, as well as A level Media Studies and A level Film Studies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to join our successful team. There is potential for this role to grow, particularly for someone able to teach more than one subject offered by the department.

Dependent on teaching experience to date, the post will be paid from £32,177 FTE to £49,725 FTE, rising incrementally, subject to satisfactory annual review. Full-time teachers teach a maximum of 20 x 65min teaching periods in the college week. It is envisaged that this role will encompass 8 periods (40%) across two days.

The post is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers.
