We are looking for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and innovative teacher of Classical Civilisation to join our highly successful and established team. We are particularly looking for a teacher who is committed to inspiring young people with a love for and a confidence in their subject, who is open to adopting a range of creative pedagogical approaches.
The opportunity is for a part-time teacher of Classics, teaching up to 16 periods a week alongside Course Leader duties (0.85). This includes 0.5 periods of time remission for the role of Course Leader, which involves overseeing the scheme of work and associated admin for the course. Dependent on teaching experience to date, the post will be paid from £33,465 to £51,714 per annum (FTE), rising incrementally, subject to satisfactory annual review. Full-time teachers teach a maximum of 20 x 65min teaching periods in the College week. We would also be open to hearing from applicants who can offer another subject at A level in order to make this up to a full-time role.
